Excerpts of Messages from
Maitreya, the World Teacher

"I have not come to create followers, each of you should continue to  develop within your own religious tradition. Even when you see Me, do not run after Me. If  you run after me, you will lose Me. If you parade Me, you do not know who I am. I cannot be monopolized, I belong to everyone." Maitreya

On 14 December 2000 Benjamin Creme was interviewed for a documentary for UK’s Channel 4 Television, to be screened in spring 2001. At the end of the session Mr. Creme was asked if Maitreya would give a blessing, and perhaps a message. The crew’s request was answered. Maitreya gave the following message through Benjamin Creme:

“My friends, very little time will elapse before you see Me.
May you respond quickly and heartily to My words.
Be not afraid in the times immediately ahead for they are the precursors of the happiest time of your lives.
Your interest in My story is welcomed, but believe Me, it is not a story.
It is a reality which one day you will tell your children, and they shall tell theirs, and so on, for many, many years.
I shall live among you as your brother and teacher and release in you that awareness to which we give the name of God.
My blessings now are all around you.
Be happy and wait patiently for My emergence truly.”

It is almost impossible to say these Messages aloud, with attention, without invoking the Christ's energy, His heart response. They are apparently simple, sent from heart to heart, but work on various levels and should be meditated upon for their full meaning to come through. Some people find it best to select one Message daily and meditate on that. (Benjamin Creme)

It is recommended that readers take one Message at a time and read it aloud. In this way the rhythmic (mantric) quality of each Message can be better felt.

He prefers to be known simply as "the Teacher",   but is known to people of different religious traditions as:

Christ,
the Kalki Avatar,
Sri Krsna,
the Messiah,
the Imam Mahdi,
the Bodhisattva,
the Fifth Buddha,
Maitreya Buddha, and
the World Teacher.

Students of the esoteric tradition know all these as different names for the same individual --- the Lord Maitreya, the World Teacher, the head of the Spiritual Hierarchy of Masters and they look for His appearance on the world stage in the immediate future.

His energies work through all people of goodwill, regardless of any religious or philosophical attachments. His love is for everyone, both the religious and non-religious alike.

He does not want anyone to worship Him.

According to esoteric teachings, the word 'Christ' is not the name of an individual, but of an office or function within the Spiritual Hierarchy of Masters. The Leader of this group is known as the Christ. This group of perfected men is known by various names, including: the Church Invisible, the Brotherhood, the Society of Illumined Minds,  the Masters of Wisdom and Compassion, the Spiritual or Esoteric Hierarchy, and the Guides and Elder Brothers of Humanity. Under Their stimulus, man's civilizations have risen, flowered, died, for many millions of years. None of them wish to be worshipped.

His Top Two Priorities
(inspire mankind to...)

[1] Share the world's resources

[2] Restore the earth's ecological balance

stcrsm.jpg (2399 bytes)"The work and the teaching of the Christ will be hard for the Christian world to accept, though easier of assimilation in the East. Nevertheless, some hard blow or some difficult presentation of the truth is badly needed if the Christian world is to be awakened, and if Christian people are to recognise their place within a worldwide divine revelation and see the Christ as representing all the faiths and taking His rightful place as World Teacher. He is the World Teacher and not a Christian teacher.

He Himself told us that He had other folds and to them He has meant as much as He has meant to the orthodox Christian. They may not call Him Christ, but they have their own name for Him and follow Him as truly and faithfully as their Western brethren." Djwhal Khul

"Following a crash program of aid for the starving millions of the world & the implementation of the principle of sharing, will be the saving, protection, & healing of the environment." Benjamin Creme
